Alien - Exploring

This artwork is part of a series of paintings/illustrations/studies conducted with my Left (non-dominant) hand. This challenge will span 8 weeks in duration. Everyday has been an interesting/frustrating/rewarding/educational experience so far. Hope you'll enjoy the journey along with me.

I introduced my wife to Alien the other day! She'd never seen it...and wasn't particularly impressed (shrugs - something I've grown used to with a wife who isn't big into movies). Anyways, this is one of my top 10 favorite horror films. Love the casting, art direction (though conflicted about how to feel about so much of the underlaying horror triggers stemming from homophobic imagery), pacing and lighting.
